# Quickstart: Homepage drop

# Quickstart: Homepage drop

Unfurl’s fastest path: publish from the marketing site, then claim the document when you create an account.

    Open [unfurl.pub](https://unfurl.pub). You do not need to sign in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Drop, pick, or paste HTML">
    Drag an `.html` file onto the drop zone, use the file picker, or paste HTML. Stay under **4 MB**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the link">
    You get a live share URL (`unfurl.pub/d/…`) immediately. Send it to anyone — they do not need an account to view it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Claim it (optional)">
    Guest publishes stay live for **24 hours**. Sign in or create a free account (Google or magic link) using the claim prompt to keep the document, see views, and publish more.

After you claim, the same URL keeps working. You can then connect [MCP](/docs/guides/connect-mcp), set a passphrase (Pro), and use the rest of the dashboard.
