# Viewer feedback

> Let viewers pin comments on a shared page, then fix them from the dashboard or MCP.

# Viewer feedback

Turn on **Viewer feedback** so people on your share link can click an element or select text and leave a note. You see those notes in the dashboard. Agents can list them, edit the HTML, and mark items resolved.

Feedback is **off** until you enable it per document. It is unrelated to collaboration rooms.

## Enable it

    In the [dashboard](https://unfurl.pub/dashboard), select the document.

  <Step title="Turn on Viewer feedback">
    Under **Presentation**, enable **Viewer feedback** (“Let viewers click elements or select text to leave feedback for you or your agent”).

  <Step title="Share the live link">
    Recipients use the same `/d/[token]` (or custom subdomain) URL. They do not need an Unfurl account.
  </Step>

Passphrase-protected pages collect feedback only **after** the viewer unlocks the document.

## What viewers do

On the shared page they can:

* Click an element, or select text
* Leave a short comment
* Submit — you get an item in the document's feedback list

## What you do

Open the document in the dashboard and use the **Feedback** panel. Copy open items into an LLM, or connect MCP:

1. [`list_feedback`](/docs/api-reference/list-feedback) — unresolved first
2. [`get_document`](/docs/api-reference/get-document) with `include_html: true`
3. [`edit_document`](/docs/api-reference/edit-document) — not `update_document`
4. [`resolve_feedback`](/docs/api-reference/resolve-feedback) with an optional note

REST: `GET /api/v1/documents/:id/feedback` and `POST /api/v1/documents/:id/feedback/:fid/resolve`.
