Quickstart: Codex + MCP - Unfurl

Use unfurl.pub/connect if you want the same steps in the product UI.

Connect

One-command install

npx unfurl-install --client=codex

Start a new Codex session. Ask it to publish HTML to Unfurl. Sign in and click Allow on first use.

Add a remote MCP server with URL https://mcp.unfurl.pub/mcp in Codex Desktop (or your Codex MCP config). Save, then complete OAuth: sign in and click Allow.

Create a key at Dashboard → API keys. Use it for the REST API, or attach Authorization: Bearer oodoc_… if your Codex MCP config supports headers.

Publish

“Publish this HTML report to Unfurl titled Weekly KPIs”

Save share_url and document_id from the tool result.
